Recommended Schedule 1 1/2 hour before show: "Party Parents" arrive for set up. 1 hour before the show: Guests arrive. Food, cake, singing and opening presents. 10-15 min before show: Children should take their seats in the theatre. Clean up and removal of party to parent's vehicles. (Exceptions may include keeping food in Refrigerator/Freezer until after the show.)
TICKETS You may either purchase online, at our theatre or call our Box Office at 801-532-6000 during box office hours. Purchases may be made at the door prior to the performance depending on availability. There are no fees for purchasing online. All tickets, are held at the Box Office to be picked up 30 minutes prior to show time.
EXCHANGES & REFUNDS Ticket exchanges are $2.50 per ticket exchange (subject to availability) and must be made 48 hrs in advance of either the performance you plan to see or the performance your are exchanging tickets from. You can only exchange for tickets within the same show title.
REFUNDS When you purchase tickets it is like buying a airline ticket. We are reserving your spot for you. It is our policy to not issue refunds or exchanges for missed shows. Earlybird Season Ticket holders receive one (1) free exchange per production title, Premium Season Ticket Holders receive two (2) per production title and Gold Season Ticket Holder receive three (3) per production title.
AGE 4 years of age and up is the general recommendation of Utah Children’s Theatre. However parents will need to make the decision as to whether their child is old enough to enjoy the performance while not disturbing other audience members. Some shows may be more appropriate for older children, while other’s for younger. To see recommendations for a specific show please visit the show page on our website. Babies & toddlers will not be admitted. All patrons must have a ticket. ARRIVAL TIME Will Call and the theatre will open 30 minutes before our performances, our lobby will open 45 minutes prior to show time.
PARKING Parking lots are on the North and South side of our building. There is also ample free street parking.
SEATING Seating is general admission. The theatre is comprised of three seating sections, center (the largest) with smaller left and right stage seating sections.
LATE SEATING We make an effort to start our shows on time. In most cases we will seat latecomers at the first convenient break in the performance. Latecomers will be seated in designated seating. In the case of some performances we may not be able to seat you until intermission due to the orientation of our theatre.
SODA FOUNTAIN The Soda Fountain entrance is to the left of the main outside entrance. The Soda Fountain is owned and operated by Utah Children's Theatre. We recommend preordering and picking up at the Box Office at intermission to avoid long lines. You may bring your treats into the theatre. OUTSIDE FOOD Outside food and drinks are not permitted in the lobby or theatre.
CELL PHONES & RECORDING Cell phones noises and screens are distracting to those around you and the performers. Please turn them to silent or off. The performances are property of The Children's Theatre or in partnership with licensing companies. Photography, video or audio recording of any kind is strictly prohibited by law.
RESTLESS CHILDREN Chronically noisy or loud children should be taken out of the auditorium.
INTERMISSION Intermission is approximately 15 minutes. Baked goods, and house made drinks & treats are offered in the Soda Fountain before the performance and at intermission and after performances. Quick treats are available at the concessions counter in the lobby. UCT concessions are allowed in the theatre. NO OUTSIDE FOOD PERMITTED. The Soda Fountain and Concessions Counter purchases support our non-profit mission.
WHEELCHAIRS Please contact 48hrs prior to the performance so that we may remove our accessible seats and reserve seats next to the area we accommodate wheelchairs.
GIFT CERTIFICATES & GIFT CARDS Gift Certificates can be redeemed online, by phone or in person. UCT does not receive your GC number. The UCT stage is fairly intimate, with seating on three sides for the stage. The actors can come very close to the audience.
